Suluada is located just off the Turkish coastline near to the town of Kaş. It is aptly named watery island in English due to the many springs that provide fresh water on the island. A visit here may lead you to believe that you are not in fact in Turkey but that you have flown further afield to a more tropical climate. Thanks to its fine white sands, and clean waters that reflect the sunshine, it is often likened to the Maldives.

The island is uninhabited and can only be accessed by boats leaving from Adresan harbour. This day out will allow you to enjoy the coastal scenery of the South of Turkey as well as showing you the island from many angles. There are two beaches where you will make stops for swimming and snorkelling. The boats will drop anchor in shallow waters allowing non swimmers to wade to the shore or swimmers to swim ashore as they choose.

You will see many coves and caves on your boat journey around the island but perhaps the most impressive is Lovers Cave where you will be able to swim in the cold waters that run off the island into the sea. Local legend has it that the cold waters found in and around the cave are actually the tears of a lonely lover crying over their partner.

Schedule and Important info

What To Bring – Pack suncream, sunglasses, and towels. Bring some cash for drinks, as drinks are extra. Wear regular clothes, and consider bringing swimwear to change into on the boat.

Departure Time – Boat departs between 09:30 – 10:00 in morning, hotel pick-ups are earlier. After booking we will let you know about your pick-up time.

Tour Program

Pick-up

Your relaxed day out will begin immediately after breakfast when you’re transfer driver welcomes you onto their minibus ready to transfer you to the harbour. Once you have said goodbye to your driver it will be time to say hello to your captain and crew on board your boat. Sailing time is approximately 10:00 in the morning and you should reach the island within an hour.

Sailing & Swimming Breaks

The boat is modern with toilets and showers on board, as well as a bar serving snacks and drinks throughout the day. It is a two tiered boat with a deck for sunbathing and a shaded area where you will be served lunch.

Lunch

Lunch is a freshly prepared barbecue on board which will be served to you by your smiling crew.

Lover’s Cave

The boat will make several swimming stops throughout the day and give you the opportunity to walk on land at the island itself as well as using the time to snorkel swim or simply relax on that.

Return

As you return into the harbour having spent a chilling day at sea your friendly driver will be waiting to take you back to camera and your hotel. You will arrive with a camera roll full of the most impressive photographs and you will have many fantastic memories of this day.

Are drinks included in the cost?

Drinks are not included however there is a bar on board where you can purchase hot and cold beverages throughout the day.

What is included in the ticket price?

Included in the cost of your ticket will be your return transfer, boat journey, relevant insurances and of course your lunch. You will need to budget for any extra expenditure for example the purchase of souvenirs or snacks and drinks on board.

What facilities are available on the boat?

There are adequate toilet facilities on board as well as an open air shower for you to rinse off the salty sea water when you are done swimming. Sun beds are available on the top deck and there is a seated area in the shade on the main deck. The bar is well stocked with soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee and selected snacks.

Is this excursion suitable for children?

This day out is available for all guests of any age, however the tranquil feel of the boat should be respected and young children may struggle to keep entertained throughout the day. For guests travelling with younger children we recommend the pirate ship where the kids are kept entertained while the adults can relax in the sunshine.

Are there life jackets available on board?

Life jackets are available on board as per local regulations and the boats will not be filled past its maximum capacity. If you require aids for swimming you should speak to a crew member who will be happy to help you.
